Rafting on the two rivers/chhus, the Mo and Pho, Punakha Dzong, mask dances and traditional music during Punakha Tshechu (a religious festival in Bhutan), Chimi Lhakhang and Namgyal Chorten, and Limbhukha are some of the top attractions in Punakha.
4. Trongasa
Trongsa is a must-see destination in Bhutan, connecting the roads to Bumthang, Gelephu, and Punakha. Trongsa Dzong is the main attraction.
5. Jackar
Known locally as Chamkhar, the region is primarily known for its commercial center, and its most famous attraction is the Jakar Dzong. Other interesting and popular attractions include the Wangdichholing Palace, the Bumthang Brewery, and the cheese factory, all of which are important tourist destinations.
6. Phobjikha and the Gangtey Valley
Jigme Singye Wangchuck National Park, Phobjikha Valley, the Tsechu Festival, and the Crane Festival, which welcomes black-necked cranes, are all celebrated with great enthusiasm in the courtyard of Gangten Monastery. Nyelung Dechenling, Gangte Goemba, Kumbhu Lhakhang, Khewang Lhakhang, Damchen Lhakhang, White Chorten, and Wangmo Hand-Woven Carpet Factory are other tourist attractions.
7. Wangdue Phodrang
A border town near Punakha, Wangdue Phodrang is widely known for its bamboo, slate, and stone carvings. Other tourist attractions include Wangdue Phodrang Dzong during the Wangduephodrang Tsechu celebration, Radak Neykhang, the Archery Ground, the Vegetable Market, the Army Training Center, the Dzong Gate, and the Eight Chortens.
8. Jigme Dorji National Park
One of Asia’s top wildlife travel destinations, Jigme Dorji National Park is the only park that has the national tree cypress, the national animal tomahawk, the national bird crow, and the national flower blue poppy coexisting in the same facility.
9. Bumthang Valley
The Bumthang Valley, the spiritual heart of Bhutan, filled with apple trees and beautiful Buddhist sites, is a delight for tourists.
10. Phuentsholing
Amo Chuu, the Chukha Hydrothermal Project, the Crocodile Breeding Centre, the border gate (called Bhutan Gate) and the Karbandi Monastery are the main tourist attractions of Phuentsholing.

Punakha and Wangdue – Paro: Morning journey from Punakha and Wangdue to Paro (approximately 125 km – 3-4 hours). En route, visit Simtokha Dzong. Evening visit to Ta Dzong and Rinpung Dzong.
Day 05
Stop – In the morning, visit Taktshang Monastery. En route, also visit Dzongdrakha Temple. In the afternoon, drive to Drukgyel Dzong and Kyichu Lhakhang.

Punakha and Wangdue: In the morning visit Khamsum Yuelley Namgel Chorten, Sangchhen Dorji Lhuendrup Lhakhang (Nun’s nunnery). PM visits Talo Village

Punakha and Wangdue – Bumthang: Morning transfer from Punakha and Wangdue to Bumthang (approximately 205 km – 6-7 hours). Stop en route at Chendbji Chorten

Bumthang – In the morning, visit Tamshing Lhakhang, the treasure house of fascinating Buddhist religious paintings, and then visit Jakar Dzong, the administrative center of the valley. In the afternoon, visit Kurje Lhakhang and Jambay Lhakhang.
