Rajasthan
Discover the land of kings, colors and traditions
Introduction
Rajasthan, known as the Land of Kings, is one of India’s most beautiful states, vibrant and exotic at its finest. The state boasts an incredible display of art and architecture that will transport you back to the grandeur of its kingdoms, with breathtaking sand dunes, colorful cities, majestic forts, and snake charmers. The official language spoken in Rajasthan is Hindi. Visiting Rajasthan is truly a magical journey. Popularly known as the “City of the Indian Desert,” it is one of the world’s finest centers for stone carving. Rajasthan is well-connected to the rest of India via air, rail, and bus networks. Rajasthan’s cuisine is distinct from that of other states. Dal Baati churma, Gatte Ki Sabzi, and Laal Maas are just some of the unique dishes of Rajasthan.
Festivals
The Pushkar Camel Fair, held in October and November, the Desert Festivals, Braj Holi, the Winter Festivals in December, the Udaipur Music Festivals during February, and the Jaipur Literature Festival in January are unique festivals in Rajasthan. Udaipur, Ajmer, Neemrana, Jodhpur, Jaipur, and Pushkar are famous wedding destinations. There is no doubt that Rajasthan is the most luxurious and vibrant place in India, and all of this is accompanied by a couple of trains that are simply the essence of Rajasthan and truly luxurious.
